It’s time for another monthly open signup update. This post includes a summarized list of 12 private torrent trackers that are either directly open for signup or are accessible to the public by an alternate means such as an online invite application. Some of the notable torrent sites that we discussed here on this blog for the past one and a half months are included here. Among the list are BitTorrent trackers that specialize in various niches such as music (MP3 and Lossless), movies, software (Windows, Mac and Linux), information technology resources such as programming or networking, as well as general trackers that cover a broader range of content. Out of the 12 sites featured in the post, 3 are ratio free trackers. Some of the sites included in the list are supposed to go invite only starting 1st of February so you might want to hurry if you haven’t signed up for those yet. As usual, updated site statistics, signup URLs and links to a full tracker review is included with each entry.It’s recommended that you read the full review before signing up for a tracker – this will give you a better idea on what sort of content you can find on a site and help you decide whether you really need to become a member of it or not. Description: MP3Scene is one of the fastest growing private trackers to be launched in 2011 - the site has indexed nearly 7000 torrents in around two weeks time. It’s a scene MP3 music tracker based on SoftMP3 source. SceneMP3 is supposed to become invite only from the 1st of February so get in while you can.
UnionGang

Description: UG is a general torrent site which indexes everything ranging from music, games to TV shows but it’s better known for its movie repository which includes releases of varying quality ranging from DVDRs to BRRips. UG is also one of the first sites to upload leaked regional content i.e. R5 DVD releases by groups such as ELEKTRIKA. For translation help in browsing and signup, please refer to full review.

Description: CopyThatFloppy (CTF) joins the limited number of appz trackers out there alongside the likes of Appz Bitshock and AppzUniverse. After being in beta for about a month, CTF launched to the public on 31 December 2010. Based on the Gazelle codebase, this is probably the only new software tracker to hit the BitTorrent scene in 2010.

AlphaOmega

Description: TorrentVault is a general private tracker based on Gazelle codebase. How to get invited to TorrentVault

As mentioned in the title of this post, TV has re-opened their IRC invites channel. According to site staff, around 2500-3000 invites will be given out in the first round. Entry requirements are not tough but everyone who is invited will be monitored for rule violations. Follow the step by step guide below to log into the TV invites channel. We recommend you use the mIRC client for this operation.

Close your web browser. Install mIRC. mIRC can be downloaded free of charge from this location. Do not run it yet.
TV IRC requires SSL connectivity so you’ll need to install SSL support for mIRC first. This is a one click process – simply download OpenSSL Setup from here and install it.
Open your web browser, paste the following link in address bar and press enter irc://irc.torrentvault.org:+9022.
This should open mIRC and log you into TorrentVault IRC server.
Once logged in, type /ns REGISTER username email in the mIRC console to register your nickname on this server.
Example (assuming your username is filenet and password is mypassword)-
/ns REGISTER filenet mypassword
Type /join #tv-invites to join the invites channel. Follow instructions on channel topic and request your invite. Good Luck!
