Update 2:
You can now turn off the transitions from your user page and just have it do a fade between images. Or you can turn off the large images entirely and just view the latest releases posters a bit like before. You can access these from your user profile under the edit section.

Update:
Just for clarification, I have changed the news title to reflect the build status of the site, which is an Alpha. In no way is this the final version of the site, or actual 2.0 of the site, we only did an early release of some changes to get opinions of the look, and some suggestions. Staff can't be the only people to test the site, cause we might not see all the bugs you will see due to difference of OS and Browsers and Plugins etc. The design of the site itself is in a very rough stage, like I mentioned, what we have visioned is not reflected accurately in this build of the site.

We don't run polls asking about Screen Resolution and Bandwidth etc for fun, we do so, so we can better design and optimize the site to cater to the vast majority. We've made a few small changes to the site since it's release yesterday to help it's ease of use, and in a week to 2 weeks we will probably update some more of the site with what we've got that's currently being tested.
